VM -- best by hand or PC?

I`m about to apply VM after SSR2.5.

Best by hand or with an orbital. If using an orbital what pad works best? I`m considering a Lake Country grey finishing pad.

Also, if I top this with EX-P -- by hand or orbital and best pad for that?

    thanks

I normally apply VM by PC (dual action, random orbital) with a Lake Country white polishing pad. Spread the product at spread at speed 2, and then work it at speed 4.0-4.5.

I also apply the first coat of EX-P by PC but with a finishing pad. I use speed 3 for this process. I apply a second coat by hand (with a damp PVA applicator) to ensure complete coverage. Wait at least 24 hours between coats.

I agree with awd330 and using the PC. What I do is apply it twice. The first time with a polishing pad, and the second with a finishing pad. I then go around and do the spots that the buffer couldn`t reach by hand. Have fun with it. If this is your first VM experience, you`ll love it!!!! Top it with EXP and you`ll have a great looking vehicle that has all of the great characteristics. (depth, shimmer, shine, and clearity)

I also use a PC for VM application. I use a white polishing pad from CMA and work it in at 4-5. I think the PC produces better results. Just my opinion.
I love the smell of EX-P in the morning.

I agree with everyone else. In almost all cases, the PC is the best way to apply a product...Its just faster and it enables more complete coverage than by hand...Its the best investment Ive made so far!

    Great feedback

I`m another that is migrating away from Zaino due to the acrylic plastic look of the sealant.

The car currently has Zaino Z5 / Z2 on it. I`ve been told that the VM with a PC will remove the Zaino.

It that correct or should I get rid of the Zaino with either SS1 or Menzerna FPII?

VM should remove it - AIO or you can go out and get Meguair`s Deep Crystal step one - a chemical cleaner/polish that will do the trick for cheap.

VM will remove the Zaino without a problem. The white LC pads are what I use. I tried the orange pads, but got some micro-marring.
