Which Pad Combo To Start With?

I`ve been browsing through DetailCity for a few days now, and there`s a lot of info here! I am a novice when it comes to PC usage. I am planning on buying a 7336sp from Lowe`s in a couple of weeks, though.

But, I am confused when it comes to Pad and Backing Plate sizes. I can`t decide between:

6" Backing Plate + 7.5" LakeCountry Concave Pads
    5" Backing Plate + 6.5" Meguiar`s Pads

Both combos will work, I`m sure, but I only want to buy one. I will be using the PC on a couple of SUVs, only. I`m not planning on doing this on other`s cars. I just want to Polish and Wax my vehicles.

Is the 7.5" too big for easy use? In my mind, bigger is always better - Is this true with PCs?

    Thanks for any input!

I use the 7.5 pads and really like them. I vote in that direction.

If I could only have one pad combo, I would also choose the 7.5" curved edge pads with the 6" backing plate.

Fleet - Welcome to DC! I am not sure if you are familiar with Dwayne. He is the propreitor of PremiumAutoCare and also has made available to us this wonderful forum. However as a member we have certain advantages such as 10% discount and you can always ask if there is a current special to take advantage of when purchasing your products. This forum has assisted me so much with all the knowledge available here, I would not hesitate to call Dwayne and ask what he would have to offer. Plus by ordering everything in one place you will get your chemicals, pads and machine all in one exceptionally packed box. Just open, and go out and play. No running around and wondering what it would be like to turn it on.

I wrote this to another member not to long ago:
"Dwayne offers full service, value added service. I certainly have picked his brain in the past and I not only took his advice, I found out he led me in a direction where I avoided a tremendous amount of trial and error mistakes, making me produce a better detailed product! How much is that worth? ~ PRICELESS!

ROCK ON Dwayne! Great Products, Great Price, Great Forum. "
