    PC backing plate

Can the PC 6inch backing plates wear out? I just recently noticed my pads don`t stick to the plate as good as they did brand new. Therefore, I bought new pads. They don`t stick that much better than my old ones. Is it time for a new backing plate?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Yes, the backing plate can wear out. I have a couple backing plates which no longer hold anything. If the pad does not stick well it time to replace.
