Default Mothers Powerball and Chrome Polish ?'s

I am kinda dumb to this stuff and was wondering if i could use the Chrome Polish with the Powerball? Also, I live in Myrtle Beach, SC and I'm having a hard time finding these products also. I've tried Advance Auto, Auto Zone (there the only auto stores around) Does anyone else have any ideas where to buy?

Moose,

Sorry to hear you're having trouble finding the products you seek... you'll want to ask at Advance Auto and request they order the products from the warehouse... order the PowerBall (#05140) and PowerMetal (#05148).

For part numbers on more products:
http://www.mothers.com/products/catalog.html

More purchasing options, including Internet retailers:
http://www.mothers.com/retailers/

Squirt some Chrome Polish on the PowerBall just like you would the PowerMetal polish as shown in the Chip Foose commercial:
http://www.motherspowerball.com/

Please let us know if you require further assistance.

If your rims are chrome, use Chrome Polish.

If they are non-coated aluminum, use the PowerMetal. Both Advance and AutoZone stock the Chrome Polish.

What if your wheels are clear coated aluminum. Will chrome polish work?

Before Clear Coat Wheel Polish was discontinued you could've used that.

There's online retailers that still have it, if you do a search with the 'retailers' link on the Mothers website.

Now you can still use any of the synthetic cleaner waxes like FX and Reflections to seal and protect the surface of the clear.

matt - Chrome Polish is not a good idea for a coated rim.

If you can't find Clear Coat Wheel Polish, try Plastic Polish instead, then follow with a synthetic wax like Alfisti suggested.

Thanks to you both. When you mention the synthetic you mean the polishes for the car finish or do you mean the wheel cleaners? Do the syn wheel cleaners proctect to? I bought a power ball and am dying to use it.

He meant use a synthetic wax for the paint finish on your clear coated rims.

Something like our FX SynWax would be a good choice.
