    Thumbs up Bissel Green Machine!!!!

I am posting this so we have a thread to reference instead of always going back and repeating what this Bissel Little Green Machine is.............

    There are basically 3 Models

    md#1400 - 3amp unheated extractor
    md#1425 - 9amp heated extractor
    md#1425-1 - 9amp heated extractor w/turbo brush (rotating brush)

Most people use the 1425 or 1425-1 which are the same except for the turbo brush attachment. The both have the higher amp (9)rating.

    Pro`s.........
Very economical - $80 - $100 depending on where you find it.
Durable - Had mine for over a year and have used regularly sometimes 3x a day
Effective - Heated water gets hot quickly (less than 30sec) / Has enough lift to pull what you put down unless you over-soak the area
Lightweight / compact - Very compact unit / easy to carry when full / gets in the little spaces better than a full size IMO
    Relatively quiet

    Con`s.......
Small tank capacity - Large vehicle`s / you may need to refill 2-3 times
Short Hose Length - Have to move around often, but it is so compact that it is not that bothersome
Water Lift - Although it is adequate I think it could use a bit more lift, but if oversoaked a wet/dry vac finishes up fine

I know at least a few DC`ers use it (Beemerboy, Nick0844, and others) If others could post the experience with it than that would be cool :cool
In short if you are in the market for an effective cleaning appliance and don`t have $500+ for a Mytee this could be perfect for you.

I have had the Little Green Machine for a couple of months now. So far it has held up well. It is not as good as a professional extractor, but it`ll do until I can by one.

    Pros:
    1. Economical for a start up business. I paid $100 for the 1425-1
    2. Lightweight and very portable
    3. Can be found at any home improvement store

    CONS:
    1. Water does not get hot enough. This machine will heat the water but nothing like a mytee.
    2. Lacks the heat and power to clean heavily soiled areas (which I seem to see a lot of!)
    3. Small tanks. I did a minivan and had to refill six times
    4. Short hose. I`ve found that I usually have to take the machine inside the vehicle (which I really don`t like)
    5. Both tanks leak a little at the base so you have to be very careful when moving the machine around when inside the vehicle. Don`t want to spill dirty water from the extraction tank onto clean carpets.

In conclusion, it`s a great machine to start out with. I`m glad I bought one and it`s already paid for itself. But I can`t wait to get something more powerful.

I just picked one up at Sears (pricematch w/ walmart + I had a $20 coupon I got in the mail from Sears). Used it yesterday on my Jeep that I thought!!! I had gotten the carpet clean on..

Wow. :eek Looked like a big bowl of chocolate soup in the dirty tank.

Now to do it completely, that was only the front floors.

    Initial thoughts= best $80 I`ve spent in a while.
